Law, Sustainable Energy Use and Protection of Cultural Heritage
Background
The legal protection of cultural heritage has not been receiving adequate attention. Culture heritage values may be affected when retrofitting buildings to increase energy efficiency or installing solar cells.
Aims
The aim is to identify where the law is not constructed in a way that enables the goals of energy efficiency and protection of culture heritage value to be jointly reached. The research also aims to contribute with suggestions on how the law can be improved to ensure culture heritage protection in the transition towards more energy efficient building stock.
Approaches
It is an interdisciplinary project. We have both an internal and external approach to the law.
Keywords
