Abstract: In his presentation Paul Upham describes the results of a survey of public and stakeholder opinion of hydrogen fuel cell systems for power, heat and mobility in five EU countries, using data gathered as part of the FCH-JU project Hyacinth (Hydrogen in the transition phase: http://hyacinthproject.eu/hyacinth-hydrogen-acceptance-in-the-transition-phase/).Paul holds the Chair of Human Behaviour and Sustainable Development at Leuphana University, Lüneburg in Germany. He is also affiliated with the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of Leeds and has been Visiting Professor in Governance of Energy Systems and Climate Change at the Finnish Environment Institute. In his research, Paul draws from across the social sciences to understand the social implications of new energy technologies.
