Energisystem och deras klimatpåverkan
The research area of the team that Stefan Grönkvist leads is energy systems of various kinds, from energy conversion in plants to national and international energy markets, including the role of energy systems in global warming. The research is primarily multi-disciplinary systems research through cooperation with researchers from disciplines such as the social sciences.
With multi-disciplinary systems research, we mean that the methods used in the research are not automatically given by our disciplinary background; different methods may be used, for example, thermodynamical modelling, interviews, or economic models.
Examples of research fields are energy markets, climate policy including the policy instruments through which the policy is implemented, waste heat cooperations, low energy buildings, production and use of transportation biofuels, storage and transport of hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage.
