Research for Future Energy Systems
StandUp for Energy brings together leading research groups to address today’s most urgent energy challenges. The global issues of climate change and the transition to sustainable energy require collaboration between universities, industry, and society.
The research focuses on technology and knowledge that can increase the share of renewable electricity production and adapt the grid accordingly. It also covers how increased intermittent power generation affects the grid and how hydropower can be used as a regulating resource. Both technical and non-technical aspects of energy systems, such as the electricity market, legislation, policies, and consumer behavior, are examined.
Electric drive systems for commercial electric vehicles are also part of the research, including batteries, electric motors, power electronics, and user perspectives.
