Sustainable Offshore Wind Power
Background
Offshore wind power is becoming more common due to an increase in its affordability. It is therefore important to identify what conflicts can occur in the marine environment, especially with the marine habitats and species.
Aims
The research aims at identifying locations where offshore wind power would be sustainable and not come into conflict with other interests.
Approaches
It is an interdisciplinary project with marine ecologists and a legal scientist.
Keywords
Sustainable offshore wind power, marine environment, Natura 2000, species protection
