PhD course@KTH 31 Oct – 4 Nov: ”Topics on Distributed Energy Resources”

Dear Colleagues,

Please find below information about the final PhD course being organised through the STINT-CAPES grants for Swedish-Brazillian Collaboration, that might be of interest for PhD students or researchers at your KTH department or other institutions.

The course instructors are Prof. Glauco Taranto (link), and Prof.Tatiana M L Assis (link) of COPPE/UFRJ (link), who also maintain and develop the Simulight software (link), which is a really nice software tool for power system transmission and distribution systems simulation (3-phase and single-phase, dynamics including control and protection) that will be used in the course for exercises.

Please note that our seminar room has limited capacity, so we kindly ask you to register before Sept. 29th.

We will inform you after that if we have enough room for you (or if we don’t have enough room, we apologise in advance).

We will provide a course attendance certificate, and a course completion certificate only after the project for the course has been completed. The students can use that to register for PhD course credits according to the preferred way of the supervisor. We do not have any specific course codes for the course.

There are no fees for the course, but also there are no arrangements or meals (only coffee breaks).

For course participants not in Stockholm, here you can find some travel information (link) and hotels close to KTH (link).

My PhD student Tetiana (see contact info below), is helping with the course logistics. Please ask her if you have further questions.

Best Regards

Luigi
