International School on Energy Systems (ISES 2018)
Institute for Energy and Climate Research – Systems Analysis and Technology Evaluation (IEK-STE) at the Research Center Jülich (Forschungszentrum Jülich) in Germany will host a summer school in Seeon, Germany, the International School on Energy Systems – ISES 2018, August 26-30, 2018. The summer school will be attended by young researchers, PhD and MA students as well as young professionals who work in the realm of energy technology, energy economics and energy policy. Every day several keynote talks will be given to certain aspects of today’s and future energy systems and after each talk there will be a discussion with all participants. The research topics of the participants will be presented and discussed during the poster session which includes a poster award. Additionally, the participants will be engaged in independent but coached group work.
The goal of the school is to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges which concern today´s and future energy systems as well as the necessity to manage a transformation process towards sustainability.
The course, food & accommodation are covered by the organizers of ISES 2018. The participants have to cover their travel costs only.
